Just as we need specific tools to complete different tasks in everyday life, educators must equip themselves with the proper tools to positively impact teaching and learning. In this session, participants will examine the fundamental pillars of culturally responsive teaching. In so doing, teachers will begin to consider instructional implications for all courses. In addition, we will dive into activities that will exemplify sound practices; as a result, participants will apply these strategies in classrooms this fall. Participants will leave with an Active Classroom trial to explore ethnic studies courses in depth.
