This session will enhance the content knowledge of leaders on the subject of convict leasing and the recent discovery of the Sugar Land 95. During this session, participants will engage in a model lesson that teachers can use to instruct students in their social studies classrooms. A highlight of this session will be the use of critical thinking and historical inquiry; to allow students to develop their own understanding of current events and controversial topics in history.
