Join Sarah Teubner, Social Studies K-12 Coordinator at Duncanville ISD, and Genevieve Kaplan, Director of Education at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, to learn how to capture and share local stories about the Civil Rights Movement through primary sources. See how the presenters worked together on a Texas History lesson using resources in the Museum's online collections to tell the story of the 1964 Piccadilly Cafeteria protests in Dallas. In this session you will have the opportunity to explore the lesson plan and discover resources and opportunities for students to interact with history.
