The Slaves' Gamble: Choosing Sides in the War of 1812
Limited Capacity seats available

The War of 1812 is generally overlooked and misunderstood. In this presentation, we will use three vignettes to examine the lives of three slaves--Peter Denison, Charles Ball, & Ned Simmons--who made choices that affected their lives. We will see which side they chose to join and the good and bad results of those decisions. Ultimately what this presentation shares is that slaves did have the power to make choices that affected their lives!
